Job description
About the Company

Armada is an edge computing startup that provides computing infrastructure to remote areas where connectivity and cloud infrastructure are limited, as well as areas where data needs to be processed locally for real-time analytics and AI at the edge. We are looking to bring on the most brilliant minds to help further our mission of bridging the digital divide with advanced technology infrastructure that can be rapidly deployed anywhere.

Location

This role is office-based and can be performed from Trivandrum, Kerala, India.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
IT Support & Operations
  • Respond to IT helpdesk requests from global personnel.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes within your region.
  • Manage end-to-end corporate asset lifecycle, including purchasing and tracking of corporate laptops.
  • Execute IT and IT Ops directives while identifying opportunities for process automation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of executive-level IT requests and tickets.
  • Manage and administer a wide range of SaaS products and vendors used by the company.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Collaborate with Security Managers, Leads, and Engineers to implement and support cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Manage and deploy the organization's SIEM system (experience with Microsoft Sentinel is a plus).
  • Monitor, triage, and respond to security events reported by the SIEM.
  • Assist developers and engineers in resolving security-related tickets within established SLAs.
  • Contribute to vulnerability management efforts and remediation strategies.
  • Support compliance efforts (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, etc.) and help maintain regulatory compliance.
Cloud & Infrastructure Security
  • Work with third-party CSPM and cloud security tools (experience in cloud infrastructure security is a plus).
  • Maintain expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure Networking (DevOps experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and AKS is advantageous.
  • Assist in setting up and managing SD-WANs, firewalls, and routers.
Programming & Automation
  • Utilize programming skills (Python required) to automate IT and security processes.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities in IT operations.
Incident Response & On-Call Support
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (minimum once per month) for incident response and escalation.
  • Ensure proper handling of security incidents through the Incident Response System.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Define and refine IT and security processes in collaboration with managers and stakeholders.
  • Work with HRIS tools such as Rippling (experience is a plus).
