Financial Accountant [IFRS/ US GAAP/ 12 months contract]
Job summary
A leading finance company in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance manager to oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in finance, particularly in the APAC region, and be proficient in ERP systems like Oracle or SAP. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional projects and maintaining strong partner relationships. This position is on a 12-month renewable contract basis.
Qualifications
- 8 years of working experience preferably with APAC region exposure.
- Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.
- Excellent team player comfortable working in diverse locations.
- Relevant industry experience with large, fast-growing, multi-national company.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP (APAC countries).
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Support design, testing, and rollout of financial reporting systems.
- Initiate and manage process improvement projects.
- Review work of outsourced partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional business partners.
Skills
Education
This is a 12 months contract based in Singapore, on renewable basis.
- Manage processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including P&L, Balance Sheet and variance analysis
- Manage centralized processes that impact multiple International entities
- Support the Finance team in design, testing and roll-out of financial reporting systems/tools/processes
- Initiate, lead and manage process improvement projects to build for scale
- Review the work of our outsourced partners
- Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional business partners within and outside Finance to execute Corporate Accounting's objectives, providing support to finance management where required including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects
- 8 years of working experience preferably with APAC region exposure
- Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP
- Recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA)
- Excellent team player who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team located in different locations
- Relevant industry experience with large, fast-growing, multi-national company
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP (APAC countries)
