Job Description

The Network Engineer will be a critical member of our IT infrastructure team, responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the organization's networking solutions to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and best practices, and will be adept at troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining network functionality and security, coupled with an eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment. The Network Engineer will collaborate closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to support corporate networking initiatives and assist in the ongoing evolution of our network architecture.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience with network configuration and troubleshooting, ideally using Windows, Linux, or comparable systems.
• Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching concepts.
• Familiarity with network architecture design and network performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with firewall management and security protocols, including familiarity with common security appliances.
• Ability to analyze network performance metrics and utilize network monitoring tools effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with an emphasis on analytical thinking and resolving complex technical issues.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to engage in, and passion for, continuous learning about evolving technologies in the networking domain.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute positively to collective goals.
• Experience in maintaining network documentation, including configuration records, process documentation, and incident reports.
• Prior involvement in assisting with network migrations or upgrades is a plus.
