A leading food manufacturing company in Ulu Tiram is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the QA team and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in the food sector, holds a relevant degree, and possesses strong leadership and analytical skills. Responsibilities include conducting audits and supervising quality control processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, and Halal Standards.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
Responsabilités

About the job Quality Assurance Specialist || Ulu Tiram
Job Description:
- Responsible in planning and managing the QA Team.
- Plan and supervise the QA/QC team on daily inspection at Incoming Quality Control, Process Quality Control and Final Quality Control.
- Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures to meet the companys Quality Objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Food Act, other related Acts, regulations, and standards, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance of all ISO standards of the Company including but not limited to, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP and GMP.
- Conduct internal audits, supplier audits and any other audit activities as defined in the QMS.
- Participate in customer audits and follow up on corrective or preventive actions.
- Responsible for the inspection and handling of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products and disposition of defective and reject products.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
- Review, develop and maintain a systematic approach for SOPs, records and product specifications to enhance quality efficiency and performance at plant.
- Trains and motivates employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Cooperate with different departments to improve business operations.
- Assists in the recruiting process.
- Perform other related job duties and projects assigned by the Management.
Job Requirements:
- Required languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is added advantage
- Candidate must possess at least Certificate in Diploma /Advance/ Higher, bachelors degree in chemistry/ food science/ food technology or equivalent
- At least 5 years proven working experience in similar capacity in manufacturing sector preferably in food industry.
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP and Halal Standards.
- Good leadership, strong interpersonal skill, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to express ideas clearly, both oral and written
- Required Skill(s): Computer Literate, Microsoft word, excel, power point etc.
