Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure they adhere to quality standards, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Verify the quality of construction materials, ensuring they meet specifications and are properly stored and handled.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation, including test reports, inspection logs, and records of compliance.
- Testing and Inspections:
- Coordinate and conduct on-site testing of materials and systems (e.g., concrete tests, weld inspections, soil compaction tests).
- Review inspection and testing reports and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Quality Assurance Procedures:
- Review design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure that the work will meet quality requirements.
- Ensure that the QA/QC plan is followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Non-Conformance Management:
- Identify, document, and report any deviations from quality standards or project specifications.
- Work with site management to investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, recommending corrective actions to address identified problems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular QA/QC reports detailing the results of inspections, audits, and testing.
- Ensure all QA/QC reports, certifications, and documents are submitted on time and are easily accessible for audits or inspections.
- Collaboration with Site Management:
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other engineers to ensure quality standards are maintained at all stages of the project.
- Attend site meetings to discuss quality issues, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations on quality control matters to the project team.
- Review processes and suggest improvements for better quality management and cost control.
Qualifications
- Mandarin Speakers are preferable as most of the clients are from China.
- Diploma / Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a QA/QC role on construction projects. Highly preferable if have the experience on program mangement.
- Familiarity with construction materials, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
