A local grocery store in Malaysia is looking for a part-time Kitchen Crew member for 15 days. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth kitchen operations, adhering to hygiene and safety standards, and preparing food according to company policies. The ideal candidate will possess cooking and food hygiene skills, good communication in English and Bahasa Melayu, and a willingness to work long hours in a rotation shift. This role provides a hands-on experience in food service in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to keep up with cooking trends and best practices.
- Required to work long hours and under pressure.
- Must be willing to work six days a week and on a rotation shift basis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations in a timely way.
- Prepare and serve items according to established standards.
- Minimize spoilages and utilize food surpluses.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the workplace.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Skills
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations in a timely way.
- Assure that all items are prepared and served according to established standards and practices.
- Minimize spoilages and utilize food surpluses.
- Always ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the workplace.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Undertake or participate in any ad‑hoc projects or other relevant duties as assigned from time to time.
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.
- Required skills: cooking, food processing, kitchen operations, food hygiene.
- Good communication in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
- Willing to work long hours and under pressure.
- Willing to work six days a week and on a rotation shift basis.
- Willing to work in outlets across Klang Valley area.
