It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample opportunities to leverage your technical knowledge and work cross-functionally. We're looking for a Technical Revenue Manager to work with business partners in Legal, Sales, and Finance to understand DoorDash’s revenue transactions and resolve related accounting issues.

The Manager of Technical Accounting will collaborate with Business Development, Product, Sales, Legal, and Finance to structure non-routine revenue transactions and design new product offerings. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606 (IFRS 15 acceptable), and transaction-level processes to quickly identify accounting implications and collaborate on solutions. You will lead revenue accounting analysis across all revenue streams, advise on the financial statement impact of transactions, document accounting positions, and communicate them across the organization. 1. Contribute to designing new product offerings and structuring non-routine sales transactions.
2. Lead projects independently, developing leadership and managerial skills.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally on new products and transactions.
4. Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating project management skills.
5. Communicate the accounting implications of transactions to internal stakeholders at all levels.
6. Draft and maintain accounting policies related to revenue and costs.
7. Advise on implementing technical accounting conclusions.
8. Understand company operations at a detailed level to proactively identify issues.
9. Review journal entries and month-end reconciliations as needed.
10. Support improvements in contract and product review processes and SOX controls.
11. Assist with external audits related to revenue recognition.
12. Possess CPA certification in Mexico.
13. Have strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 (IFRS 15 acceptable) and ASC 340-40.
14. Bring 4+ years of experience in auditing and technical accounting, preferably with Big Four and industry experience.
15. Be highly organized, self-managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
16. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
17. Be adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
18. Have strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
19. Understand stakeholder needs across various levels within the company.
20. Demonstrate ability to analyze transactions and contracts independently under US GAAP.
21. Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Sales to identify and research accounting issues, documenting conclusions.
22. Assess accounting implications of new products, preparing technical analyses and operational recommendations.
