Job Description: Medical Affairs Professional - Italy
Join our dynamic and innovative Brands division within a well-established international pharmaceutical company. We seek an experienced Medical Affairs field professional who is willing to think beyond traditional roles and operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. This role offers broad development opportunities across all aspects of the business, allowing you to manage your daily work independently.
You will be part of a team of three Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to recognize commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are required for communication with the European Management team, based in various locations across Europe, including Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.
- Build and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers using evidence-based scientific information.
- Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
- Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.
- Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.
- Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
- Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner.
- Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other therapeutic areas.
- Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
- Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.
Education & Qualifications
- Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
- Driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
- At least one year of experience in a commercial function within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
- Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
- Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
