RINA is currently recruiting for a Software Application Engineer to join its office in ROME within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

RINA's activities in Rome focus on software engineering tasks, including system requirements analysis, software requirements definition, solution design, interfacing with System Engineering and Leonardo Labs, verification, and validation. The goal is to conduct a technological maturation study and develop a demonstrator for the Italian Air Force.

Key Accountabilities

• Technical project management
• Technical interface with client and development team
• Software requirement definition
• Software design, including requirements and architecture
• Support in verification and validation phases

Qualifications

Required skills include:

• Experience with microservice architecture tools (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
• Experience managing communication systems between microservices (REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
• Experience developing modern, scalable user interfaces with reusable components
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Knowledge of security standards like OIDC and OAuth for authentication/authorization
• Experience with HTTP protocol
• Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
• Understanding of DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) protocol
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, repositories, versioning tools (gitlab, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Nexus), and DevSecOps automation and security systems

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
