A care service provider is seeking a Care Assistant to support a young man with complex care needs, including personal care and therapy assistance. The role requires a driving license and personal car due to the location. No previous experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Candidates should be willing to learn and work as part of a team. Competitive pay at £13 per hour, with flexible shift patterns available, focusing on the young man’s family home.

Care Assistant required to support a young man aged 19 years who lives near Barnard Castle.
Global hypoxic brain injury sustained in 2023, the young man has complex care needs, including airway support, PEG feeding, manual handling, hoisting and positioning, daily personal care routine.
Hours / Wage:
Hours per week negotiable, rate of pay £13 per hour.
12 hour shifts 0800 – 2000 and 2000-0800 shift pattern. Negotiable working alongside other carers, generally either day or night shifts unless you are willing to do both.
Duties:
Supporting the young man in his daily care needs with everything from personal care to hoisting, washing, supporting with basic therapies.
Additional Requirements/Information:
Training will be given. No experience required just a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
Due to location and lack of public transport, driving licence and use of a car would be required although possibility of support with transport for the right candidate.
Care will all be centred around the young man’s family home.
Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost.
