The Opportunity
As a Security Service Delivery Manager, you’ll coordinate and lead security-related business and financial planning activities across Nuclear Services and the three EDF nuclear licensees, providing critical support to the security leadership to enable effective technical delivery. You’ll ensure the identification and tracking of security delivery risks and requirements for nuclear licensees while managing one direct report. Collaborating with a virtual team across Nuclear Services and three nuclear licensees, you’ll align security-related business enablers and resources to support delivery of licensee security project milestones and continuous provision of security services.
Pay, benefits and culture
Alongside a competitive salary and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal, such as enhanced parental leave, electric vehicle leasing, health insurance, product discounts, critical illness insurance, technology vouchers, gym membership, and season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility and support diverse working needs, whether in our office spaces, on site, or remotely. We promote collaboration, connection, and comfort, prioritizing your safety, value, and well-being.
We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, aiming for an equal gender balance and a broad representation of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, those with disabilities, and social mobility supporters.
As a disability confident employer, we will assist with your application and reasonable adjustments if needed.
We foster a dynamic, inclusive environment where diverse backgrounds and experiences drive innovation. Success means different things to different people, and we support your pursuit of a career that’s personal to you.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting directly to the Head of Nuclear Security and collaborating with Security Branch Managers, you will act as the primary interface between Nuclear Services (including Nuclear Security & Business Support) and the nuclear licensees. Your responsibilities include coordinating nuclear security workforce planning, balancing licensee demand with Nuclear Services capacity, and managing annual financial task orders to ensure alignment.
You will support monthly licensee/Nuclear Security accountability meetings, manage reporting packs, and engage with EDF Early Careers, supporting the selection, onboarding, and development of graduates and apprentices. Your role includes representing the team in steering groups and discipline meetings to foster early-career development.
Working closely with Nuclear Security, Business Support, and licensee teams, you’ll coordinate LC36 and MOC requirements, ensuring security baseline capabilities are maintained and licensees are properly overseen regarding their security workforce and resources.
Who you are
You possess strong commercial skills, stakeholder management experience, and excellent attention to detail. You can quickly process information from various sources to make informed decisions and recommend actions. Strong computer skills, financial understanding, and the ability to balance business and nuclear security needs are essential.
You have experience managing external stakeholders at an executive level within nuclear operators, regulators, and government agencies. Knowledge of project management principles and relevant regulations such as NISR 2003 and ONR (CNSS) Nuclear Security Assessment Principles is important. Experience in the nuclear industry and formal project management qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
If this sounds like you, we look forward to your application!
Closing date: 22nd April 2025
Note: Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
