Project Manager - HVAC & Building Management Systems
We are supporting a leading building services organisation delivering technically complex HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) programmes across a large, multi-site estate. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager with strong HVAC/BMS knowledge to oversee multiple service‑led projects from a fully remote base.
This role is suited to a proactive, technically capable Project Manager who is comfortable coordinating stakeholders, managing risk, and driving high standards of service delivery across live environments.
The Role
You will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering HVAC and BMS projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client expectations. Working closely with engineering, supervisory, and commercial teams, you will prepare and manage detailed action plans covering resources, schedules, and cost control at site level.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for project communication, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and delivery status
- Define project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business and operational priorities
- Create and manage project programmes using cloud‑based scheduling tools (Gantt charts, Kanban boards, etc.)
- Coordinate internal engineering teams and supervisors to ensure effective resource planning and delivery
- Engage and manage external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure works are completed to scope and specification
- Review, approve, and manage Scopes of Work and variations, ensuring clarity across HVAC and BMS requirements
- Monitor budgets, manage change control, handle financial queries, and forecast project costs
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to protect programme and performance
- Track and analyse project KPIs, using data and reporting tools to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure consistent standards across all projects
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing recurring service issues and promoting long‑term collaboration

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing HVAC and BMS‑focused projects within building services or facilities environments
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building management systems
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across live operational sites
- Commercially aware, with experience controlling budgets and managing variations
- Highly organised, structured, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote role
Physical & Working Environment
- Occasional site visits requiring standing, walking, climbing, bending, and use of ladders
- Exposure to typical site conditions including noise, dust, and confined plant areas
- Working hours generally aligned to office hours, with flexibility required to meet project deadlines, including occasional out‑of‑hours or weekend work
