Job summary
A company specializing in civil engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee water infrastructure projects in Essex. The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and experience in the water/wastewater sector is essential. This position offers a competitive day rate on a long-term contract basis. Skills
We are seeking experienced Project Managers with a strong background in water-sector civil engineering to support major infrastructure programmes across Essex.
This role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing contractors, overseeing programme delivery, and ensuring projects meet regulatory, safety, environmental and quality standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, supply-chain partners, and statutory bodies to deliver essential water-network upgrades and enhancement schemes.
Contract Details
- Day Rate: £450–£475 per day
- Engagement: Umbrella or Outside IR35
- Duration: Initial 6-month rolling contract, extendable up to 5 years
- Opportunities to support major long-term frameworks
Ideal Experience
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects in the water / wastewater sector
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts
- Experience overseeing contractors, CDM compliance, and site delivery
- Ability to manage budgets, programmes and risk registers
