- You’ll be supporting Simon, a young man with a learning disability and autism living in his own flat, as he strives to lead a life that makes sense to him.
- Simon is full of energy and enjoys outside activities such as baseball, football, going on bike rides or going for long walks.
- He has a love of music, especially the 80’s and loves dancing. He attends weekly music sessions and has even made a record.
- Simon recently learned to ski and would love someone who would be able to go on the slopes with him.
- Simon also enjoys trampolining, movies and going out for a curry.
- One day a week he needs supporting to the local horticulture centre where he works.
- Simon has communication difficulties and would benefit from someone who can use Makaton or is prepared to learn.
- Ability to use Makaton or willingness to learn
- Patience, reliability and a person-centered approach to supporting someone with learning disabilities and autism
