  • Environment: Monitor environmental performance, support energy-saving initiatives, and ensure compliance with permits and regulations. Drive sustainability progress within the business.
  • Quality: Assist in external audits of the QMS (including ISO9001, BRC and FSC) and Customer audits; help ensure products meet technical specifications. Take ownership of external audit corrective action plans, ensuring timely completion and response.
  • Procurement: Support cost-conscious procurement of PPE, stock, training equipment, and documentation. Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Your development: Deputise for the HSEQ Manager in their absence to gain experience in H&S leadership areas. There is additional exposure available to help progress in the role.

Requirements

Please be mindful that within the operational part of our tissue mills, you may encounter humidity, puddles on the ground from water residue, and a scent from waste-water extraction. We minimise this as much as reasonably possible; however, this is a common theme within a tissue mill setting, and we remain fully committed to our "Zero Harm by Choice" guiding principle.

Qualities and skills we’re looking for
  • A good understanding and genuine interest in HSEQ, with a real willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with an understanding of urgency and intensity.

  • Adaptive communication at all levels across the business.
  • Results-driven mindset and self-motivation.
  • Analytical thinker, competent in converting raw data into reports.
