Part time Housekeeper/Cook Job in Marlow, Buckinghamshire

Greycoat Lumleys is representing a returning client in search of an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to provide essential domestic support in a busy household. This role involves housekeeping and cooking duties in a spacious 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom home that includes a swimming pool, requiring assistance for 3-4 days a week. The right candidate will take charge of keeping the house clean and organised, while preparing meals and supporting various household activities. A love for dogs is essential, as the household is home to a friendly Labrador Retriever.

Duties to include:

  • Cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Changing bed linen
  • Putting away shopping
  • Running errands
  • Providing additional on-site support for the older person in the house (no nursing duties) and coordinating with any carer or nursing support as needed
  • Assisting with organisation for parties and events at the house - in conjunction with the principal's Executive Assistant
  • Cooking - from a selection of recipes for the household (usually lunch options and a couple of dinners a week for a family of 4)
  • Liaising with contractors

The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong service skills and present a friendly, approachable demeanour while maintaining discretion. They should be able to work efficiently with a keen eye for detail, demonstrating excellent time management and communication abilities. Proven experience in a similar role is essential, and the preference is for someone who is well-organised and proactive.

A driving licenceis essential for the role.

House: 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms

Days: Tuesday – Friday

Hours: 9 am – 5 pm

Salary: Up to £23 GPH, PAYE or SE
