Responsibilities

Waking night support workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals as required. As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will support individuals throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

What you’ll be doing:

Every day is different. You may be supporting someone to plan their weekly shop, going on an outdoor adventure, providing everyday personal care, supporting someone to go to their favourite gig, building someone’s confidence in using public transport, or teaching money management skills. You’ll help people discover new interests, achieve new goals and maintain important relationships with family and friends. You’ll provide the highest possible standard of care and support for learning disabled adults, listening to their wants and needs, enabling people to do daily tasks such as taking medication, cooking a meal or building confidence to take on new adventures. All this while working a variety of shifts to support your work and home life balance.

Public transport to our service here is limited, so it would be great if you had a driving licence and access to a car, or are able to get help getting to and from the service.

• Salary information – £14.04 per hour (12.77 basic rate + 10% Waking Nights premium)
• Working hours – 27 hrs, Waking Nights 10pm–7am

• Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.
