Application Configuration Engineer – SC Cleared | Hybrid – Barrow-in-Furness & Preston

Location: 40/50% on-site in Barrow-in-Furness & Preston

Active SC clearance required

About the Client:

Our client delivers advanced engineering and digital solutions to the defence and maritime sectors, contributing to some of the UK’s most sensitive and high-impact programmes. Due to increasing demand on a flagship project, they are seeking a Configuration Engineer to optimise and automate key toolsets across NX and Teamcenter in line with programme-specific requirements.

The Configuration Engineer Role:

• Customize Siemens NX and Teamcenter tools using NXOpen scripting to automate and streamline delivery.
• Configure and author Check-Mate rules to align with OEM standards and programme requirements.
• Engage with the delivery team to gather needs and develop bespoke NX solutions.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve existing NX workflows.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing on NXOpen and Check-Mate tools.

Essential Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Expertise in NXOpen scripting and/or NX Check-Mate customization.
• Ability to align engineering tools with OEM standards.
• Experience translating programme requirements into technical solutions.
• Background in submarine structures or defence engineering is beneficial.
• Confidence in delivering user training and mentoring.
• Must hold active SC clearance.
