HR Manager

VANRATH is exclusively partnering with one of Northern Ireland's oldest social care organisations, to help assist with the appointment of a HR Manager.

The HR manager will be accountable for all people-centred activities within a modern and growing social care organisation with sites in Bangor and Belfast.

The Role

To manage and be accountable for the strategic and day-to-day Human Resources function regarding all people resource activities and strategies.

Responsibilities

1. To be an effective member of the Senior Team.
2. Create and maintain a positive engagement with all staff to maximise the staff resource and foster a coaching mentality across the HR processes.
3. Manage the Human Resources function to ensure the objectives of the strategic and corporate plans can be realised.
4. Effectively work with the wider management team and as part of the corporate team, to deliver corporate strategies and business plans.
5. Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
6. Provide subject matter expertise to managers and staff on HR issues and queries.
7. Maintain, review and promote HR policies and procedures, and ensure their effective, consistent implementation throughout the organisation.
8. Promote equality and diversity in all HR-related matters, policies and procedures.
9. Effectively manage all risk to the organisation pertaining to area of responsibility.
10. To manage the Data protection / GDPR policies and processes.
11. To lead the corporate Health and Safety management system with the CEO for the whole organisation.

The Person

1. Hold as a minimum a Level 5 qualification in Human Resources Management.
2. Associate membership of CIPD.
3. A minimum of two years management experience in Human Resources gained within the last five years.
4. Preferably, experience of working within a standalone role, although not essential.
5. It would be highly desirable that the successful candidate would have experience of direct sourcing and recruiting via social media, although not essential.

What's in it for you?

1. £42,000 per annum starting, rising to £44,000 on successful completion of Probation.
2. Fully office based.
3. 37.5 hours per week.
