HR Advisor (2-Month Contract)

Salary: £35,096-£38,342 (pro-rated)

Location: Bristol

We're seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our People Services team on an initial 2-month contract.

You’ll play a key role in delivering our people‑first culture by providing high‑quality, compliant HR advice to leaders, managers and colleagues across the College.

Responsibilities
  • Support a broad range of employee relations matters—including disciplinary, grievance, sickness management and recruitment—ensuring decisions reflect legislation, best practice and our commitment to inclusivity.
  • Coach managers.
  • Contribute to policy development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Health & Safety, Finance, Trade Unions and our wider People team.
Qualifications
  • Strong generalist HR experience and excellent knowledge of employment law.
  • Confident advisory skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Experience using HR systems and managing casework.
  • A commitment to diversity, wellbeing and a supportive, high-performance culture.
  • Level 5 CIPD (or equivalent experience) is essential; coaching experience or policy development skills are desirable.
