Contract: Full-time Term-time only
Salary: 90 - 105 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a psychology graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a school setting?
We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with a range of special educational needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you're considering a future in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or teaching.
Support pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help children access learning and develop social/emotional skills
Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and teachers to deliver tailored support based on EHCPs
Contribute to a positive, nurturing environment that supports each child's well-being
Assist with emotional regulation, classroom transitions, and therapeutic interventions
Psychology graduates (or related fields) with a strong interest in child development or SEN
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Experience working with children/young people in any capacity is desirable
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
Willingness to learn and undertake training (e.g. safeguarding, behaviour management)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
A highly supportive, inclusive team
Opportunities to observe and work alongside specialist staff (e.g. EPs, OTs, SALTs)
On-the-job experience ideal for applications to Ed Psych or postgraduate pathways
