Manufacturing Engineer - Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities Acquisitions

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Regeneration Team in Derby, supporting and delivering new capital equipment projects. This role involves managing multiple projects, including machining, factory design, and layout support, within a highly regulated industry where safety and environmental considerations are paramount.

The successful candidate will:

1. Manage capital equipment and facilities projects from inception to completion.
2. Derive system and equipment requirements and produce technical specifications.
3. Contribute to safety assessments and system justifications.
4. Develop, implement, validate, and improve capital equipment and tooling capabilities.
5. Plan and manage project activities, assess risks, schedule resources, and control costs.
6. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
7. Identify improvement opportunities using Six Sigma or Lean/Continuous Improvement tools.

Requirements include experience in manufacturing equipment acquisition, project engineering, plant layout, and facilities integration, along with professional engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent), Lean manufacturing experience, and MS Project proficiency. Experience managing budgets, specifications, installation, and commissioning is essential.
