Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in York. The successful candidate would use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects within the civils sector.

Current projects include Highways, Drainage, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy.

The role:

• Your primary focus will be to undertake civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Contribute to and oversee the production of: technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
• Maintain high technical standards and build strong relationships with colleagues.
• Plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand and help to prioritise project delivery.

About you:

• You should be a proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a Master's degree would be an advantage).
• Ideally 1 to 3 years' post-graduate experience in civil & structural engineering.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
• Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Some experience in Civil 3D and/or Microdraiange preferred.
• A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
• Full UK driving licence
