Assistant Manager Empty Homes Team

Were thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Empty Homes team as an Assistant Manager on a 6-month fixed-term basis.

In this role, you\'ll lead and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on empty properties, driving performance and productivity within a culture of continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to use your experience to contribute to meaningful work that improves homes and communities.

Working a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, we value flexibility, and occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

• Support teams to complete work first time and on schedule.
• Plan efficient work sequences for empty property teams.
• Champion a Value for Money approach across all operations.
• Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive performance and ensure targets are met.
• Provide effective on-site management and technical support.
• Conduct building inspections, including outbuildings and gardens.
• Follow specifications set by specialist surveyors.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate asbestos testing and site management.
• Liaise with Local Housing Management to ensure timely property allocation.
• Manage utility and energy supply coordination.
• Supervise compliance trades.

A full UK driving licence.

Recent experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

Excellent communication across teams and departments.

Ability to refer to and collaborate with specialist services.

A commitment to customer care.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
