A leading retail company in Banbury is seeking a customer-focused driver to support their delivery services. You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding quality and service while assisting in-store. Ideal candidates will hold a valid UK driving license and have strong customer service skills. This role supports flexible working arrangements, making it suitable for those seeking a balanced work-life experience.
This is a front line role where you represent us with every customer you meet, and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. You should be flexible, use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, and be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.
Due to the delivery/handling/selling of age restricted items, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.
You'll be the friendly face of our business - the helpful driver who delivers the Waitrose quality and outstanding service to our customers' doors. When you're not out delivering, you'll be at the store assisting with stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products.
A good appreciation of health & safety is a must too, along with excellent driving skills. We will ask you to take a driving assessment as part of your application.
As a business, we encourage flexible working. We have a number of different ways to work flexibly, so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however; examples of how our Partners already work flexibly include part-time, job share, home working and compressed hours.
Some roles are subject to pre-employment vetting (which may include DBS checks). If required, you’ll be informed and provided with information about vetting during the recruitment process, and we encourage you to complete any vetting documents quickly to avoid delays. Any DBS checks will be carried out by a third-party registered body and financial probity checks may also be required for some roles.
We occasionally close vacancies early in the event we receive a high volume of applications, so we recommend you apply early. If you require a reasonable adjustment due to a disability which means you may need longer to complete your application, please contact us as soon as possible.
We want all Partners to have a good work-life balance and we support flexible working. This might mean flexible or compressed hours, job sharing or shorter hour contracts, where possible. Please discuss this further with the hiring manager during your interview.
