This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and proactive individual to play a key role in the smooth running of the college estate.
Role: Site Supervisor
Location: Northampton
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of college buildings, facilities, and outdoor areas
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and fire safety procedures
- Manage site security, including opening/locking of premises and site access for staff and visitors
- Respond promptly to any emergency repairs or maintenance issues
- Support the preparation of classrooms, workshops, and specialist areas such as horticulture spaces
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers
- Monitor site budgets and resources as directed
- Previous experience in a facilities, caretaker, or site supervisor role (ideally in an educational setting)
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, health & safety, and compliance requirements
- Ability to carry out minor repairs, DIY tasks, and site improvements
- Good leadership and communication skills
- A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required
