Facilities Engineer / Site Services Electrician – Various Locations

Our company, a respected and established manufacturing presence, requires a proven Site Services Electrician to work on our single site. Responsibilities include undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on the site’s electrical infrastructure and building services.

Duties:

  • Electrical installation work (single & three phase) within a manufacturing, process or production environment
  • Statutory maintenance checks on compressed air infrastructure, fire suppression systems and sub‑stations
  • Support a wide range of internal lighting and power (both LV & HV)
  • Qualified Electrically to City & Guilds or NVQ level 3
  • JIB or AM2 accreditation is an advantage

Requirements:

  • Proven background in electrical installation work
  • Experience supporting lighting and power systems
  • City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification
  • Accreditations such as JIB or AM2 are a plus

As a Mechanical Engineer you will create new kit designs across the full group range and work closely with manufacturing and design teams to deliver high‑quality, repeatable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create new kit designs across the full group range
  • Process designs to the highest standard, balancing ease and speed of install with manufacturing repeatability
  • Use standard parts where possible to minimise new parts creation; liaise with manufacturing team for parts sign‑off
  • Develop and improve the kit design process, ensuring delivery of optimal results in quality and quantity
  • Provide prompt delivery of accurate and appropriate data to stakeholder process owners to facilitate an expedient route to market
  • Create jigs for new kit designs when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Familiar with CAD systems, ability to read and create technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical bias and comfortable using power tools, fabricating, cutting steel, grinding and welding
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Driving licence essential
