We are looking for a Sales & Retention Manager to drive membership and participation across several fitness, swimming and sports centres whilst enhancing the customer journey to retain customers.
You would be working for a progressive Leisure Trust whose mission is to increase the health, fitness and activity levels of all the residents of Luton regardless of their background so there is great purpose behind this role.
- Plan and deliver in-reach and outreach activities to generate new leads for the centres, build partnerships with local corporates and community groups.
- Lead a small team of sales consultants, ensuring they are trained to follow a clear sales process and can deliver on KPI's set to hit weekly and monthly targets.
- Manage the prospect and member database to ensure customers take advantage of all they have to offer.
- Follow up renewals and act on customer feedback to maximise retention.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to contribute to the overall marketing strategy, the products and services they offer and ensure they offer a seamless customer experience at every touchpoint.
- An outgoing self-starter, able to work under one's own initiative.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
- Experience in developing and leading outreach activity, ideally within a health and fitness environment, possibly as a Senior Sales Consultant, Sales Manager, Assistant Manager or Club Manager.
- Team leadership experience as a supervisor, trainer or manager
- A demonstrable passion for health and fitness and improving the health and wellness of the whole community
- Can reliably commute to Luton daily.
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 3 days after 5-years' service.
