Qualifications
- Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Certificate and equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HSE management systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Lead on incident investigations and reporting.

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety on a permanent basis based in the West Midlands.
This role will involve close collaboration with senior leadership, including clients, project teams, and remote teams, to integrate HSE considerations into planning and project delivery, ensuring that health, safety, and environmental requirements are fully embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with legal requirements, industry standards, and client expectations for Decarbonisation projects across multiple locations (UK and Ireland).
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert HSE advice and support to project teams during all phases including design, offsite prefabrication, modularisation, and onsite installation.
- Collaborate closely with HSE officers, operation teams, client representatives, and subcontractors to embed safe working practices and environmental stewardship into daily operations.
- Drive HSE training and awareness programs to build competency and engagement across all teams.
- Facilitate client HSE audits and site visits, acting as the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Support the expansion of HSE best practices as the company grows into new locations and regions within Europe.
What You Need to Have:
- Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Certificate and equivalent.
