My client, an educational institute based in Marylebone, are looking for a Head of IT and Digital Learning.
- Develop and implement digital strategy aligned with educational goals.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
- Lead digital transformation projects and technology integration.
- Promote innovation while ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and safeguarding.
- Oversee management of servers, networks, Wi‑Fi, classroom tech, AV, and security systems.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested.
- Support staff in enhancing digital literacy and blended learning.
- Lead training, mentoring, and professional development on digital tools.
- Lead and develop the IT support team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage IT and digital learning budgets efficiently, ensuring value and sustainability.
- Proven experience leading IT operations or digital learning in educational/complex settings.
- Strong technical knowledge: networks, servers, cloud, cybersecurity, educational tech.
- Experience implementing/supporting whole‑school digital learning strategy.
- Excellent leadership and communication; can explain technical concepts to non‑specialists.
- Project and budget management experience.
- Experience in independent schools.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with MIS (iSAMS, Arbor) and VLEs (Firefly, Google Classroom).
- Professional IT qualifications (CompTIA, MCSE, ITIL, PRINCE2).
- Teaching qualification or experience supporting teaching staff.
- Knowledge of e‑safety, digital citizenship, and safeguarding online.
- Strategic thinker with operational focus.
- Confident communicator and relationship builder.
- Analytical, proactive, solution‑oriented.
- High professional integrity and discretion.
