Role

The JLL Commercial Team sits within our Work Dynamics business line and is responsible for commercial analysis and contract management delivered across our client accounts. We are implementing improved processes and systems to support effective contract administration across facilities management operations.

This team offers the opportunity to drive and make change, often implementing processes and systems where they have not previously existed. You will need to be self‑motivated, organised, detail‑focused and understand administrative processes to support contract management effectively. You will need to be a team player and work with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally to drive change and innovation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position which will deliver formal governance processes and procedures for across multiple service areas, supporting contract management. This role will provide accurate, compliant, and structured commercial administration support for multiple service‑type contracts across various regions, ensuring legal rigour in contract interpretation, adherence to governance standards, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

This role is designed as a developmental pathway towards senior cost and commercial analysis, equipping you with exposure to commercial best practice, data‑based decision making, and value engineering opportunities. The role offers the opportunity to work within a structured commercial environment, implementing robust administration processes and systems. You will need to be detail‑oriented, process‑driven and understand contract administration requirements to apply that knowledge practically and effectively. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure seamless contract delivery.

  • Provide support to the Commercial Contract Administrator reporting to the Cost and Commercial Lead
  • Support the management of contract delivery and change control processes.

Core Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration & Governance
  • Administer and maintain contract documentation, including variations, correspondence, and audit‑ready filing systems.
  • Support contract managers with interpretation and application of legal provisions in service agreements.
  • Maintain organised digital and physical communication channels for contract‑related queries, ensuring timely responses.
  • Operate and update change control registers and schedules of rates, verifying accuracy against contractual terms.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual governance, spend authorisations, and audit requirements.
Commercial Assurance & Analysis (Developmental Exposure)
  • Assist in reviewing supplier charges, verifying compliance with agreed rates, terms, and best value principles.
  • Support cost validation activities for reactive works, monthly payment applications, and proposed contract variations.
  • Contribute to benchmarking exercises and value engineering reviews under the supervision of senior commercial team members.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Liaise with JLL teams, clients, and third‑party suppliers to address contractual queries, resolve disputes, and facilitate process improvements.
  • Participate in collaboration workshops and process review meetings to identify commercial efficiencies and innovations.
Process Improvement & Systems Support
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in commercial and contract administration processes.
  • Help develop standard operating procedures, training materials, and process manuals for contract management.

This entry‑level commercial governance role is designed to build a foundation towards senior commercial analyst positions within JLL. Developmental milestones include:

  • Stage 1 – Core Competency Build: Mastering contract administration, governance compliance, and legal interpretation relevant to service contracts.
  • Stage 2 – Analytical Exposure: Supporting commercial assurance, cost reviews, and benchmarking activities; developing proficiency in supplier performance analysis.
  • Stage 3 – Progression Readiness: Taking on increased responsibility in cost audit reviews, value engineering projects, and process improvement leadership, progressing towards Commercial Analyst or Senior Cost & Commercial Audit Analyst roles.

Training and mentoring will be provided by the Cost & Commercial Lead, Commercial Contract Administrator, and senior analysts, with potential to work towards professional accreditations such as RICS, CIPS, or CMCP.
