Overview

Our public sector client based in Helston, Cornwall is looking for an Administration Officer, to support their Medical Practice. This is a temporary assignment with a possibility of extension. This is a part time 18.5 hours per week role. This role will be paying £14.48 p/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Dealing with patients in an administrative role, using the MOD Patient record system (DMICP) as required (training on DMICP will be given).
  • Collating and analysing fairly complex confidential medical/patient information or data, submitting results to senior staff.
  • Overseeing administrative procedures and processes within the medical centre.
  • Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources.
  • Preparing routine correspondence.
  • As this role deals with sensitive medical information, Caldicott training will be given.
Requirements / Qualifications

The post holder will need to be enthusiastic and committed to service delivery and improvement, with the ideal candidate having at least 12 months strong administration experience and a willingness to train and learn new systems and skills and be experienced in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint. You will have an attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment. You will be articulate, an excellent communicator and effective team player.

This role will require a clear DBS to be in place, and three years referencing.
