Overview

We are advertising a Band 4 Lead Admin Officer role within the London Breast Screening Administration Hub (The Hub) at the Royal Free Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Work Context

The Hub supports all six London clinical breast screening units and over 1.3 million eligible women aged 50‑70 across London. The role supports patient data collation, reporting, appointment scheduling and a call centre that manages cancellations and rebooks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the admin function related to the Hub and Call Centre.
  • Supervise Senior Administration Officers and Administration Officers associated with the Hub and Call Centre.
  • Accurate, efficient and timely execution of essential activities that support the breast screening pathway.
  • Collaboration with London Breast Screening services.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations and rebooks within the Hub call centre.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working in a public/patient facing role.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and problem‑solving ability in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be able to problem‑solve in a busy environment.
  • Band 4 experience (not mandatory but preferred).
