PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Assume the role of technical subject matter expert throughout the sales process, focusing on expanding project scopes beyond traditional measures by integrating the Distributed Energy product suite and/or commodity supply into the final project scope.
  2. Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and cross-functional teams to assess and qualify the technical and financial feasibility of each project engagement, and develop and execute pursuit, engagement, and capture strategies.
  3. Participate in the development, completion, and submission of all project deliverables and submittals leading to contract award, including Preliminary Assessments, Procurement Responses, Investment Grade Audits, and Implementation Contracts.
  4. Establish and summarize the technical needs and engagement requirements of customers, identifying potential solutions.
  5. Maintain a detailed understanding of applicable legislation and procurement policies related to energy conservation and sustainability projects.
  6. Coordinate all requests for customer information, facility access, and site visits.
  7. Act as a technical expert, clearly articulating how proposed solutions will address customer needs.
  8. Evaluate utility profiles and facility infrastructure to quantify the magnitude and feasibility of pursuits.
  9. Perform initial facility assessments, identify potential Energy Conservation Measures, and quantify projected savings and investments.
  10. Research existing and evolving energy conservation and distributed energy technologies for applicability and economic impact.
  11. Engage cross-functional teams to develop project responsibility matrices, deliverables, and timelines.
  12. Identify and qualify potential strategic partners.
  13. Maintain the accuracy of project opportunities within the CRM system.
  14. Provide technical support for customer presentations led by Business Development Managers.
  15. Support the development of qualification and interest responses (RFQ, LOI, NOO, etc.).
  16. Lead internal progress review meetings based on project deliverables.
  17. Conduct quality control reviews of all deliverables, ensuring adequate peer and managerial review prior to client delivery.
  18. Lead internal project review meetings and coordinate legal review activities.
  19. Finalize booking document packages upon contract award, ensuring compliance and obtaining approvals.
  20. Coordinate with E&C and other units during PA and IGA phases for project support.
Qualifications
Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in identifying and quantifying energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and related software.
  • Willingness to travel 30% or more.
  • Ability to obtain required security clearances.
Preferred:
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
  • Professional Engineer (PE).
  • LEED Accredited Professional; Certified Energy Auditor (CEA).
  • Experience with energy efficiency projects under ESPC, HUD ESPC, Utility Energy Savings Contract, or GSA Schedule 84 Contract programs.
  • Two (2) or more years in a Technical Sales role.
