Over the past several years, we have undergone significant positive change and growth to become the company we are today. Our global footprint now spans multiple countries, providing our employees with exposure to diverse cultures and markets. We are seeking a Java developer to join a "Regulatory data exchange" project. The role involves working across all layers of the project to develop a comprehensive understanding and become self-sufficient in the long run.
The project is primarily developed in Java, utilizing various open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Scala, Hadoop, and Angular. While the focus is on backend development, experience with a broad range of backend skills and technologies will be highly valued.
We are a small, dedicated development team of two based in Valencia, owning one of Confluence's flagship products, Silverfinch. Silverfinch is a data exchange and distribution platform used mainly by asset managers and investors. Although currently in maintenance mode after over 10 years, the addition of a third team member will enable us to upgrade the platform and add new features, improving its performance and capabilities.
The project involves high complexity, particularly related to big data processing, offering an excellent challenge for motivated developers. Working hours are typically 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm, with daily stand-up meetings. Once trained, team members will have ownership of specific application components. As Confluence is a global organization, flexibility in working hours may be required, including occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities.
Confluence provides generous benefits, including:
We support flexible working arrangements for all employees.
