Job Description

We seek a passionate web developer experienced with open source frameworks and eager to develop and grow with us. If you are interested in developing with AEM and sharing your expertise, Cognizant Netcentric could be your home.

You will be responsible for delivering entire projects, working closely with the project manager to exceed client expectations. Main responsibilities include:

1. Defining solution architecture and collaborating with client architects
2. Writing and refining technical specifications and effort estimates
3. Leading and reviewing work of a distributed development team, providing coaching and guidance
4. Ensuring infrastructure and environment requirements are met in coordination with system engineers and test managers
5. Managing releases and developing critical system components

What do we require?

• Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Leadership experience in both technical and people management roles
• Effective communication skills with technical and business stakeholders
• Strong Java skills, especially in web projects
• Ability to identify requirements and define technical solutions
• Extensive experience managing Java web projects
• Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for quality code
• Experience with testing at all levels: unit, integration, functional, performance
• Ability to extend existing products and utilize APIs for customized web experiences
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git
• Experience with task management and documentation tools like JIRA
• Strong English and Spanish communication skills
• A proactive attitude, openness to sharing ideas, and continuous improvement mindset
• Comfort with giving and receiving feedback

Additional Qualifications and Skills :

• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of Java Content Repository API (Jackrabbit / CRX)
• Understanding of OSGi and Declarative Services
• Experience with Eclipse IDE or similar environments
