LOCATION:
This position is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). This role is specific for candidates living in Germany. Travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.
THE ROLE:
Acceleration Partners is accepting applications for our growing TikTok B2B affiliate team. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Development Manager with business development/sales experience, to support the growth of the TikTok for the Small Business Global B2B program in Germany. This person will be required to join client calls to pitch high value opportunities, provide strategic insights, and report on progress towards goals. Thinking with a "how not if" mentality, maintaining an action-oriented approach, and effective questioning will be critical in this role.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Revenue: Contribute to overall revenue goals for the Growth & Partnerships department and the growth of managed clients through creating high potential relationships and optimizing publishers, including paid placements, CPA increases, and product reviews.
- Performance and Placement Trackers: Regularly update relationship and placement trackers with partnership details and client-approved placements.
- SME in Client Verticals and Partner Relationships: Be a trusted resource, an expert in client verticals, and proactively lead conversations to share expertise across the organization.
Business Development and Publisher Relationships:
- Proactive Research: Identify new high-quality partnerships and opportunities based on client needs and industry trends, utilizing resources like the Pub Dev weekly roundup and SimilarWeb.
- Persuasiveness: Recruit high-potential partners, explain the value of joining programs, and negotiate terms and fees.
- Relationship Fostering and Growth: Maintain excellent interactions with top publishers and build a trusted network of partners.
- Written and Verbal Communication: Communicate clearly and engagingly, manage day-to-day communications independently most of the time.
- Initiative: Demonstrate a proven track record of identifying and executing opportunities to optimize and grow the program.
Strategy and Execution:
- Alignment to Client Strategy and Goals: Participate in kickoff and ongoing calls, ask questions, and understand client KPIs.
- Creation and Ongoing Ownership of Strategy: Develop and execute plans for recruitment and paid placements, managing most strategies independently.
- Strategy Pivots: Adapt strategies as needed, set realistic expectations, and communicate effectively with clients.
Pitching Opportunities:
- Persuasiveness: Pitch innovative ideas backed by data, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate the benefits of opportunities.
- Publisher Vertical and Client Knowledge: Maintain high knowledge across publisher verticals and address client questions effectively.
- Tenacity: Overcome objections, understand reasons behind rejections, and suggest alternatives.
- Client Communication: Share results and insights, manage difficult conversations with minimal support.
- Sharing Best Practices: Share ideas and feedback across teams to improve performance.
- Risk Ownership and Escalation: Identify issues early, analyze root causes, and recommend next steps.

QUALITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or relevant experience.
- German language fluency and knowledge of the German market.
- 7+ years in business development, account management, or sales.
- Knowledge of social media, mobile apps, digital marketing.
- Experience with self-serve platforms, auction/biddable digital advertising.
- Proven success in sales roles, especially with SMBs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfort with client-facing presentations.
- Experience working remotely and independently.
