SALES ENGINEER - NORTHEAST GERMANY & DENMARK

This position is responsible for identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities, including contracts, rebate structures and/or marketing programs, in close coordination with the EMEA Sales Manager. He acts as the primary interface for all products, strategies, programs, support, marketing and training for his customers. The product portfolio includes the entire KMT Engineering Wear Parts.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Acquire new accounts, manage existing accounts and provide commercial and technical support.
  2. Responsible for sales and profitable targets for the respective area customers.
  3. Negotiate commercial conditions (e.g. prices, discounts, payment terms, contracts).
  4. Develop & manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders at the customer.
  5. Timely handling of customer concerns and problems.
  6. Implement sales & marketing activities (i.e. new products, exhibitions, events).
  7. Participate in/execution of sales forecasting for the area of responsibility.
  8. Proactively cooperate with different interfaces (i.e. Inside sales, Marketing, production, RPM's).
  9. Promote products and services, influence the product selection (including custom solutions) and improve efficiency at customers.
  10. Produce accurate technical reports & share experience.
  11. Support new product development programs by identifying field test sites and actively soliciting customer feedback from major customers to support product launch and value proposition development.
  12. Continuously monitor, collect and store market and customer information (i.e. CRM).
  13. Follow rules and processes defined, using respective tools (i.e. CRM).
Our requirements:

  1. 3-6 years in related industries or materials, preferably in the EMEA region.
  2. 2-4 years of sales experience preferred, alternatively intensive customer contact with relevant customer functions, e.g. quality, engineering or R&D.
  3. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering or a related field preferred.
  4. 3-6 years of relevant technical knowledge of tungsten-based products preferred.
  5. Knowledge of the business sector industries is required: Wear parts.
  6. Ability to create demand through insight, influence, planning and organization.
  7. Self-reliant and independent, requiring little supervision for preparation and decision-making, planning customer contacts and driving sales conversations.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening and building relationships of trust.
  9. Excellent business acumen and decision-making skills using data and strategic thinking.
  10. Completion of a structured sales course/training program preferred.
  11. Fluent (written and oral) in English and technical English, preferably German native language.
  12. Driving license.
  13. Authorization to support EMEA sites and participate in international trade fairs, events, etc.
  14. Willingness to travel throughout the territory and if necessary, in EMEA.
  15. Experienced use of MS Office products, knowledge of CRM systems desirable.
