Our Mission
We’re looking for proactive team players who take initiative and feel confident working independently but also enjoy sharing ideas and learning from others. This role would involve being the face of our company for our customers, including demoing our product to educate them on how we can become a valuable part of their organisation.
You’ll work across the full sales cycle – from first touch to closing the deal. This includes generating leads, qualifying prospects, and running discovery calls all the way through to contract signature and account handover.

To achieve this, we have made it our mission to create a digital coach that revolutionizes training for companies and their employees in up to 35 languages.
We have the opportunity to meet at the ‘Startplatz’ in Cologne, but we mainly work remotely and encourage everyone to work where it suits them best. At least once every trimester, we have workshops or events where we meet as a team in Cologne. So even if we don't have to commute every day, you should be able to do so regularly.
Your Everyday Activities
- Your mission would be to expand our business by building long-lasting relationships with our customers.
- Actively research and identify new leads and target accounts.
- Conduct outreach (via phone, email, LinkedIn) to engage prospects and spark interest in our solution.
- Identify customer requirements and possible solutions, and provide consultancy in line with the how.fm platform.
- Educate decision-makers during demonstrations and share what how.fm is all about.
- Proactive engagement with our customers to develop the customers and expand our business as well as closing new business.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and establishing a personal brand as an industry expert.
- Lead customers through the full sales cycle in collaboration with pre-sales and our support team.
- Generate all deliverables (e.g., presentations, contracts) required to close new business.
- Manage and hold overall responsibility for your global and national accounts.
- Work toward clear goals we define as a team - and celebrate wins together.
- Analyse our pipeline status and forecasts to provide full visibility of business potential.
- Define and execute sales plans for assigned accounts.
- Proactively manage your accounts to build long-lasting relationships.
- Independently maintain the clarity and accuracy of our CRM system, especially for your accounts.
- Independently manage own tasks and responsibilities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborating closely within the sales team, including the team lead, as well as cross-functionally and with external agencies to ensure our goals are achieved.
- Weekly meetings with the full how.fm team to align on the status quo and direction.
You Will Need
- A passion for building strong, lasting relationships and providing value to customers.
- Expert networking skills
- Excellent listening and clear communication skills via phone, email, and offline.
- A bachelor's degree in economics, business, or equivalent working experience.
- Experience in both outbound sales and closing deals (SDR + AE responsibilities).
- You’re confident initiating conversations, reaching out to new contacts, and managing a pipeline from start to finish.
- Professional sales experience for a B2B SaaS company, and/or expertise in the logistics vertical will set you apart for this role!
- A proven creative problem-solving approach as well as strong analytical skills.
- Excellent English and German language abilities, both written and spoken. Any other language is a plus.
- Proven intercultural competence, including strength in communication across multiple disciplines, cultures, and with different media.
- Solid IT operating experience, including CRM tools and Google Workplace tools (formerly G Suite & incl. Gmail, sheets, etc.)
- Existing experience with Hubspot would be an advantage.
