Information about the position

Youll be working within the Privacy Engineering team, a passionate and growing part of the Security and Privacy function. In this team we are excited to combine ethics, legal requirements, and technology to continuously improve peoples privacy protection.

We need your help to design, develop, and implement the tools and interfaces that allow us to protect the privacy of our members and employees. Youll work closely with our Marketplace and Data Infrastructure teams to help them build privacy into our Marketplace features and Data Analytics platforms, as well with the Security and Privacy teams to give them the tools they need to be effective.

In this position, you will:

• Support development of privacy features, tooling, integrations, monitoring, and maintaining technical compliance with regulations for privacy.
• Join initiatives to fix the things you or others discover that put our members and the business at risk.
• Collaborate with Engineers across the organization to support implementation of Privacy by Design within Vinted.
• Communicate industry best practices and trends as well as Privacy Engineering initiatives to your Vinted colleagues

You have

• A passion for privacy and youre excited to talk about it.
• Good analytical skills, including the ability to assess risks and impacts to individuals from a privacy and data protection perspective.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to distill complex concepts into understandable models for others.
• Experience with Ruby and Rails and/or Go or a willingness to learn.
