Job Description:

As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems, and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About the Role:

Denza is the new brand from BYD, the world's largest manufacturer of electrified cars, headquartered in Shenzhen, China. It is launching in Germany with its new premium brand Denza. One of the first models is the Z9 GT shooting brake, equipped with unique technical features.

The Marketing Manager will develop and execute the marketing plan for Germany, aligning with business objectives and global strategies. Responsibilities include leading national events, managing advertising and digital campaigns, overseeing dealer marketing and PR activities, and managing the marketing budget.

This role requires a customer-oriented mindset, excellent digital and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and innovate. The manager will work closely with the European PR/Events team, local dealers, and digital media and social influencers to enhance brand visibility.

The position reports directly to the Denza Sales Director for Germany, with a dotted line to the BYD marketing teams in Germany and Europe. It is a fixed-term position for 2 years.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  1. Establish a holistic communication strategy for Denza in Germany, aligned with the European marketing plan.
  2. Manage all brand activations and evaluate their effectiveness.
  3. Coordinate press and media engagements to represent the brand and product stories effectively.
  4. Collaborate with BYD Europe HQ and internal teams for all communication activities.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Experience with premium automotive brands, including sectors like automotive, fashion, and lifestyle, with leadership experience.
  • Background in marketing and PR.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach with problem-solving skills.
  • Established network within the German media landscape.
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and work across international teams.
