Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

As the Head of the Avionics & Flight Controls department, you will lead our team of Engineering Managers across various sub-functions. Your role involves disciplinary and technical oversight, ensuring our product development strategy is robust and innovative. You will ensure compliance with regulations and deliver results on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will also facilitate effective communication with other CTO areas and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration.

• Maintain end-to-end responsibility for departmental deliverables.
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership through coaching and mentorship.
• Identify hiring and training needs to ensure resource availability.
• Uphold high standards of development quality by establishing best practices.
• Ensure effective communication within and outside the department.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve optimal results.
• Create conditions for timely, cost-effective, and quality deliverables.
• Manage the departmental budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the main technical field.
• PHD or Master’s degree in engineering or a comparable field.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience leading motivated, high-performing teams and managing change.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technology holistically.

• Leadership and training skills for team leaders.
• Substantial management and leadership knowledge.
