We are looking for a thought leader and technical expert in a particular vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Telecommunications) to join the CXO Advisory team. This team is part of the industry solutions organization, working globally with significant growth potential. Members are experienced practitioners working directly with C-Suite executives on application modernization and related strategies, while also engaging with customer developers.

The Application Modernization Advisory team provides thought leadership and practical guidance for legacy modernization and innovation of application stacks, considering the full application environment, including the impact of Generative AI. The role involves supporting enterprise clients, contributing to sales efforts, developing training materials, advising on modernization strategies, and sometimes diving into code to guide technical directions. Excellent communication and past software development experience are essential.

The role involves collaboration across various company functions, supporting sales, professional services, product, and marketing teams. The position is flexible but requires regional presence, and remote work within Europe is possible.

Ideal candidate qualifications include:

• 20+ years in a specific vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Telecommunications) across multiple areas
• 15+ years of software development and architecture experience
• 10+ years of IT management experience, including leading development teams
• Deep experience with databases, ETL tools, and data modeling
• Experience transforming legacy environments to microservices architectures
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience with scalable distributed systems
• Broad knowledge of data technologies (RDBMS, Java, NoSQL, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 50%

• Entrepreneurial spirit

• Additional language skills
