What is the opportunity
We are seeking a Fall intern for a Technology/Developer role (including but not limited to Software Developer, Quant Developer, Operation Analyst, Cybersecurity IT Risk Analyst, and QA Automation Analyst) to join the RBC Wealth Management Team. What will you do
- Participate in all parts of the software development lifecycle: design, implementation, and rollout of production systems.
- Create and review technical design documents, understand how the design will be used in the code development process, and facilitate meetings for design, troubleshooting, and development enhancements.
- Monitor email queues closely and address issues/requests promptly.
- Create ServiceNow tickets and assign them to appropriate support teams.
- Create and maintain knowledge documents.
- Engage in other tech support projects as needed.
- Use available resources to investigate and troubleshoot issues, including documentation and escalations.
- Monitor and improve the availability of our software solutions and data integration batch jobs.
- Proactively support in-house applications using various monitoring tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for incident resolutions.
- Conduct manual access reviews and role recertification.
- Provide guidance on RBC's compliance standards to business and technical stakeholders.
- Manage and conduct Non-Personal ID & Password Access Management remediation projects.
What do you need to succeed
- Must have:
- Major in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Proficiency in SQL, C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies (school project experience counts).
- Knowledge of supporting Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Knowledge of supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with business users and technical teams.
- Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience supporting a trade floor environment.
- Understanding of Active Directory.
- Understanding of trading systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters products.

- If not returning to school (graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
