As we continue to grow, we are seeking a HR Coop / Intern to join our HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and adaptable HR professional who enjoys both strategic involvement and hands-on execution across a wide range of HR functions. The ideal candidate brings broad HR experience and excels in fast-paced, evolving environments that require adaptability and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
·Support full-cycle recruitment process (background checks, offer management, interview scheduling)
·Lead and innovate employee onboarding programs
·Contribute to employee engagement initiatives
·Assist with payroll processing and compliance
·Maintain and update company org chart and HRIS
·Track HR expenses; prepare and submit monthly expense reports
·Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
·Other Ad-hoc responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Able to commit a minimum 8-month Coop term.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office suite (especially Excel)
Nice-to-Have:
  • Previous coop/ intern experience in recruitment and payroll processing
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Knowledge of HR analytics and reporting
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
