NutriChem is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacist in various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our pharmacy.
You should be highly experienced with the following responsibilities:
Expected Outcomes:
- Resource Planning: Collaborate with the RPh.T and pharmacist to ensure the availability of resources supporting prescription workflow, inventory management, patient services, compliance, safety, and financial resources.
- Communications (interprofessional): Facilitate clear communication and collaboration between pharmacists, healthcare providers, patients, and stakeholders. Ensure accurate documentation in the pharmacy records system and relay updates regarding patient status or medication changes.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to create positive experiences, address needs efficiently, and communicate medication instructions, potential side effects, and proper usage. Handle complaints professionally.
- Order Processing: Handle prescriptions and medication orders accurately and efficiently, including Rx entering, filling, managing voicemails/emails, organizing deliveries, and charging Rxs. Obtain authorizations for refills when necessary.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following experience:
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program
Experience:
- Previous pharmacy experience
- Experience with Kroll
- Prescription data entry and customer service experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and terminology
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and MS Office
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
