Summary

The Chemical Sales Representative is responsible for achieving chemical sales in the car wash industry by maintaining existing customer accounts and expanding with new ones.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact and advocate for both existing and new accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Engage in cold calling to generate new business.
• Develop proposals aligned with company and client goals.
• Present new products and services to enhance relationships.
• Share best practices to grow customer businesses.
• Ensure smooth onboarding and submit contracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in chemical applications, sales, and prospecting.
• Understanding of the chemical industry, including key players and regulations.
• Knowledge of chemical usage, cost, and delivery systems.
• Experience with business planning, budgeting, and market strategies.
• Established relationships in convenience store and retail petroleum markets.
• Understanding of financial reports and ROI calculations.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and autonomous work style.
• Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of pricing and margins.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Employees must demonstrate integrity, accountability, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic. Must be customer-focused, supportive, and able to meet physical demands such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing, walking, and prolonged computer use. Must maintain professional appearance and be willing to travel up to 80%. Adherence to safety standards is required.
