PROJECT ENGINEER
Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Dubai seeks an experienced professional to oversee daily O&M activities related to Telecom Power Plants and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, along with 10-12 years of experience in the telecom or power industry. Key responsibilities include managing projects, budgeting, supervising installations, and training staff. Strong adherence to safety standards is crucial. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
Qualifications
- 10-12 years of experience in the telecom/power industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and E&M infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee daily O&M activities related to Telecom Power Plants HVAC systems.
- Prepare and manage operating manpower and budgets, monitor expenditures.
- Compile project requirements, coordinate with consultants and contractors.
- Supervise installation testing and commissioning of E&M systems.
- Guide and train subordinate staff on operation and maintenance.
Education
- Plan schedule and oversee daily O&M activities related to Telecom Power Plants HVAC systems (split units package units chillers) and other E&M infrastructure.
- Prepare and manage CWP Operating Manpower and ADCAB budgets; monitor monthly expenditures and ensure compliance with approved limits.
- Compile project requirements assist in finalising technical specifications estimates and schedules; coordinate with HO consultants and contractors.
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance to avoid service interruptions especially for telecom‑critical systems.
- Supervise installation testing and commissioning of E&M systems; ensure adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Identify equipment and plant needs in advance and plan augmentations accordingly.
- Monitor spare parts stock levels track usage and initiate timely reordering.
- Guide and train subordinate staff on the operation and maintenance of both existing and new equipment.
- Participate in emergency breakdown repairs when necessary and ensure quick resolution.
- Ensure compliance with defined safety standards and company procedures.
- Report regularly to E/PP&AC on progress issues and updates related to ongoing work and projects.
- Bachelors in Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 10-12 years of experience
- Telecommunication/power industry preferred
