Key Roles And Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, execution, and closeout. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution. Resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Conduct inspections and quality control checks.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules. Monitor expenses and track progress to ensure that project goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, contracts, and reports. Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at the site.
  • Review Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
  • Reviews and checks plan, specifications, contracts, engineers’ notes, engineering computations involving higher mathematics, and cost estimates for projects of substantial difficulty.
  • Provide effective on‑site leadership and supervision to construction teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines. Works with other engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met. Monitor contractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications. Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication between project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and internal teams. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
  • Monitors and reports the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Verifies and maintains appropriate records and files; prepares comprehensive technical reports related to assignment.
  • Attends various meetings as representative of the Engineering Department of RAKEZ.
  • Inspect and evaluate ongoing projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications; conduct surveys, and/or assist survey personnel in obtaining field data and conduct a variety of tests for compliance purposes.
  • Responsible for the confidentiality, security and safekeeping of the RAKEZ properties and documents.
The Candidate Must Possess Expertise/experience In The Following Domains
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction related technical field
  • 5+ years of related construction phase experience is required
  • Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background related various construction projects such as buildings, infrastructure, interiors, structural repair works.
  • Professional registration may also be required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications.
  • Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be well utilised and your ability to develop internal and external working relationships is essential.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
