Role Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the technical planning, coordination, and execution of residential solar projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements while acting as a bridge between clients, internal teams, and site operations.
Technical Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate residential solar PV projects from design finalization through commissioning and handover.
- Review technical drawings, layouts, single‑line diagrams (SLDs), and BOQs in coordination with engineering teams.
- Conduct technical site surveys to assess structural feasibility, electrical readiness, shading analysis, and installation constraints.
- Support system sizing, equipment selection, and configuration validation in line with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate installation schedules and ensure adherence to approved technical specifications.
- Monitor on-site installation quality, safety practices, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Manage troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during installation and commissioning.
- Oversee inverter configuration, grid synchronization, and performance testing.
- Coordinate with authorities and utilities for approvals, inspections, and grid connection processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of as‑built drawings, commissioning reports, and compliance records.
- Support Operations & Maintenance planning including system performance checks and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Maintain technical communication with procurement to ensure equipment compatibility and availability.
- Collaborate with sales and BD teams to validate technical feasibility before project closure.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years experience in solar PV project coordination, installation, or technical operations (residential preferred).
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, components, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and technical layouts.
- Knowledge of grid‑tied residential solar standards and authority requirements.
- Familiarity with inverter setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of structural and electrical safety compliance.
- Experience with project tracking tools and documentation systems.
